Heart Burrrrrn... the worst thing ever!

Last night was a terrible night, I don't think I slept for more than an hour at a time and the Rennie's and milk were just not cutting it :(
I didn't have heartburn until the last trimester with my son, and now its here already? What the heck? I'm wondering how I am going to cope with it if it's here to stay, it makes night time torture especially. And then the next day I am so sleep deprived and
ratty. Beware!

I think I am going to have to invest in a HUGE comfy pillow so I can sit upright and a XL bottle of gaviscon to drink from the bottle!!

Anyway, enough moaning and back to the delights of pregnancy- My bloaty bump 5weeks exactly... (wearing a cool pair of trousers here that my dear Aston got to my Birthday, however... I cannot sit down in them as I found out when we went out for that meal last Friday and there was no way I was sitting down let alone fitting in any food if I didn't undo them... Snazzy!)

And some more tests;
The top test is a Pregnancy test Taken at 4 weeks 6 days... lovely solid lines... I think this is why I keep testing but I havent tested since getting this. Perhaps I am now feeling satisfied that I am indeed preggo! :D
The bottom test is another OPK! hahaha I love it!!!

sleepy!

is it bed time yet? It's 2.30 and I'm sitting here trying to work but I can barley keep my eyes open. I think I am going to have to take a nap! It funny because I don't remember feeling tired at all with my first or getting many symptoms at all, this time however I am getting a fair few, heartburn probably being the worst so far. I am hoping that morning sickness stays away just as it did with my first pregnancy. Perhaps it will be a girl? Chinese Gender Calenders are predicting a girl for me!?

I am finding particularly hard to focus on work at the moment, I guess its a mixture of the excitement of being pregnant and feeling constantly tired.

I'm off to take a nap for a bit, else I don't think my eyes will be open to make tea when the boys are home!

I am engaged! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Im getting married!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, finally, Aston popped the question! and of course I said yes :)

We went out for a lovely meal on Friday, a yummy Tapas bar in Solihull. We scoffed our faces full of tasty delights, sipping on fruitizer- the adult soft drink ;) After Aston was insistent on a walk by the moonlit River Avon... a beautiful sight but BOY was it cold... *shiver*
We walked up and back down the river, huddled close keeping warm. He'd come prepared with big coats for us both :) On the way back down, I suddenly found him stopping and getting down on one knee holding a beautiful ring. OMG! He popped the question and of course i said yes, all excited and smitten. So now we are engaged and have a wedding to plan too!!!

4 week milestone...

I am very early on in the pregnancy but I feel like today is sort of a milestone. Today the witch is due, having found out very early at 9dpo and I am anxious that she stays away! She usually visits in the morning after a temperature dip overnight... my temps are still sky high and I am still feeling uber pregnant! :) Im trying not to worry too much and thinking of all the positives... I am going to have a baby this year!!! OMG!

To take away some of the stress of today, i thought I would satisfy my urge to Pee on a stick by using an OPK instead of a pregnancy test... it seems the OPKs pick up more HCG than they ever picked up my OV surges!

Look at this OPK!

Cute finds!

Yippee! At 3.20 I'll be going off to the doctors for my first ap
pointment, from there I will be referred to the midwife :D excited for my first appointment, not so excited in case she wants blood. UCK!

Before I was even pregnant I started to buy some cute baby bits and essential if they were a steal too good to pass up, all of a sudden I have accumulated so much cute stuff, if I had a baby tomorrow I would almost be ready! Im going to hold off buying anything else now until we find out the sex of the baby. For now, everything is sooo neutral!

Humpty Dumpty Teddy... I found this is Mama's and Papa's, I love him!!

Sweet 2 Peice set and Knitted romper, long sleeved vests and sunmmer sandals.
Our winter baby needs to keep toasty... :D

Mama's and Papa's Snow suit... Oh so snuggly! Nail clippers and Minimode comforter
Hungry caterpillar Warm jacket and Vests, Winnie the pooh padded sleeperAdvent Sterilzer and bottles, Dr Brown Bottles. I am planning to breast feed however, when George was born I was unable to breast feed him so he was bottle fed, It was nice to have the bottle at home and some milk as I was prepared before hand.

Help! I'm addicted...

..to peeing on Sticks!

Now this is a weird addiction, if you ever knew one. Peeing on those little sticks is sooo incredibly addictive... every morning sitting on the loo asking: to pee or not to pee?
Slightly busting to release, having not pee'd for the last 8 hours or so! You would think the answer would be 'just god dam pee now'... well you would be wrong!!... the answer of course is Yes I will pee, but the next question is where to pee! To pee in the pot or not to pee in the pot? The pot being a small plastic container that once upon a time probably held left over baked beans or possibly even raisins, never to be used for food again or anything consumable because it is now my pee pot and has been for the last 3 months lol!

So anyway, back to; To pee in the pot or not to pee in the pot?
In the end, almost every time, I DO decide to pee in the pot. Then out comes the tests and 3 minutes later... wallah... im still pregnant... a little more pregnant every day.

So I have about 3 tests left now and I have promised myself that will be my lot, my addiction will be over with and I will not have any temptation left in the house!

The Beginning of bean #2

I never thought it would all happen quite so soon, it's been just under 3 months since I had the coil mirena removed, the second attempt I should add and a somewhat painful experience which is sure to deter me from ever having another fitted in the future.

Anyway, had someone told me we would conceive so quickly, I probably would have laughed with hysteria. I think perhaps, I was trying not to get my hopes up too much at any point, the endless months of negative tests and the witch showing her face can become somewhat tiring and the disappointment never gets easier... just worse.
It takes the average healthy couple up to one year to conceive, that is without the odds of previous Birth control going against you and the Mirena is coil that releases hormones into your system over a period of up to 5 years. Added to that, the Mirena gave me multiple cysts on both my ovaries, throughout the course of the 2.5 years I had it. These were very painful as they grew to 4cm at one point which is possible bigger than my actual ovary!! So I was curious of how this would effect TTC.

To get our BFP on cycle number 3 is pretty shocking as well as exciting. And I can tell you there is no one more excited than me right now, ok maybe Aston is equally excited!

So perhaps I should go back a little to when I first had the mirena removed. It was the gynaecologists second attempt after referral to the hospital where they had more 'specialist equipment' as the first gyni had put it. 'Specialist equipment'? what are they going to do to me?! I envisioned the sorts of torturous instruments I had to look forward to in a matter of weeks. And yep, Torture it was!

So there is me after the removal, feeling a little worse for wear but happy the ordeal was over and that we could finally get to the baby making that had been planned for months!

My cycles regulated really quickly, I started the take my temps in the morning every day upon waking (like straight away, before you move, before you sit up, before you get out of bed, literally when you open one eye and temp lol at the same time every day, give or take 30mins) I found it easiest to temp when Aston got up for work. Worked out that my luteal phase is 13 days! fab! On Cycle 2, i had a blasted 'evap'... its a smudge of dye on the pregnancy test which can lead you to believe you have a positive when in fact you don't. Blue dyes are the worst for them, so I tend to stick to red dye sticks! And boy, did I pee on a lot of sticks! wheres the embarrassed smiley?? :\
Cycle 3 however, was a little different. I ovulated a lot earlier than expected and it's a good thing we were getting in some practise haha!
9 days later, I am standing in my bathroom with what appears to be a second line? Is it a real line? Have I been staring at it for so long now that I am 'seeing things'? So I show Aston and he thinks there is one too, not like last months Evap but a line...!
So off we go into town, Pizza hut, shopping and a last stop at Superdrugs for some FRER's (first response early result preg tests)

Later on we are home and I have held my pee for as long as physically possible!

1 minute....

2 minutes....

Me: Can I look yet?
Aston: dont look yet?

3 minutes... Theres a line!! BFP... theres a Line!! hehehehehe all giggly and smooochy smoochy!

We tell George, our gorgeous boy, that he is going to be a big brother. He says 'Yeah!!!' I ask if he would like I brother or a sister and he exclaims 'Brudda', Im certain that means brother and that he would love someone to play cars with! :)

So here I am 10dpo today, already done 3 different tests today. Im not sure why, i guess its nice to see that line getting a little darker each time and I took a Digi too.... so I could see the words 'Pregnant 1-2' Makes it seem so much more real! Now, I am just waiting for someone to wake me up from this dream!!! :D

Booking an appointment with the docs on Monday to confirm everything... due date estimate 24th November 2011!!!
